50F Conference Room

The Network and Telecommunications Department develops and maintains LBLnet, an enterprise network with more than 10,000 nodes. LBLnet is composed of standards based network technologies in an effort to support an environment that is heterogeneous in its use of operating systems, workstation hardware, printing systems, data acquisition systems, etc. Thus, this talk will cover the technologies used on LBLnet and it's topology, as understanding this is the key to success for system administrators who use support systems that use LBLnet resources.

Snacks will be provided.
