I will talk about techniques for visualzing large-scale irregular-grid data. In particular, a fast multiresolution previewing method and a highly scalable parallel volume rendering algorithm will be introduced. These two techniques work nicely together for scientists to explore and locate the most relevant information in their data in an interactive manner, and for them to render images at highest possible resolution.

Snacks will be provided.
