In this talk, I will describe the development of Space Series, an experimental visualization tool for displaying sunlight in the interior of buildings. Part of this research focuses on the representational aspects of lighting simulation that enables users to rapidly forage through a highly dimensional data space to make intelligent decisions about daylighting in buildings. The other part emphasizes the need for field research understanding what variables to make salient in the visualization, when and who would be using these tools, and how this type of tool may shape practice.

Snacks will be provided.
